Abstract
During Grandparents University, Renewable Energy Studies Major, Jefferson Lazarus, age 11, interviews his grandfather, Stuart Allbaugh, about how his relationship with energy has changed since his childhood. Allbaugh shares about his experience working with coal in his youth, the impacts of climate change he has seen living on Lake Waubesa, and his hopes for Lazarus’s generation to pursue effective climate action while avoiding the politicization of climate change. This interview was collected in collaboration with the Wisconsin Energy Institute (WEI) and is housed within the Oral History Program at the UW-Madison Archives.
