Abstract
During Grandparents University, Renewable Energy Studies Major, Jack Lawson, age 12, interviews his grandmother, Sally Mergener, about how her relationship with energy has changed since her childhood. Mergener shares her thoughts on nuclear energy and electrification, her worries about climate change denial, and her optimism for the positive change that Lawson’s generation has the ability to make. This interview was collected in collaboration with the Wisconsin Energy Institute (WEI) and is housed within the Oral History Program at the UW-Madison Archives.
