Abstract
In her 2019 interview with Pat Calchina, Val Hodgson details her life in Madison. She spoke of the time period between 1972 and the present and of the following topics: Her art career, the women’s and lesbian community in Madison, her involvement in Womonsong and her 36 year relationship with her partner, MC Reisdorf and the birth of their son, Nelson. She discusses her professional life working as a graphic artist for Epic and American Girl and the art she created for the women’s and lesbian community in Madison, and the continuation of her work as an artist since her retirement.
