The Food Systems and Technologies Professionals Club began in March of 1972 as the Home Economics in Business Club. The name change was the result of the University's dropping the Home Economics in Business major. The original objectives of the group are to participate in the promotion of the objectives of the State and America Home Economics in Business; provide for the planning of workable programs; help students meet and know people who have attained recognition in the home economics in business profession; and work together and share enthusiasm for Home Economics in Business.
