Traveling as a group to see the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse was a once in a lifetime experience for the sixteen members of an eclipse expedition from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I had the pleasurable challenge of organizing the trip, developing some of the experiments, acquiring funding, recruiting sixteen students and staff, and leading the trip, which is a story worth hearing for those who would plan a group excursion to watch the 2024 total eclipse.
