Abstract:
Papers of a leading motion picture producer associated with RKO during the 1930s and later with MGM. The collection is composed of extensive production files of correspondence, script drafts, reports and logs, and financial information for A Patch of Blue (1965) and two other films Berman produced between 1964 and 1970. Also included are scripts, clippings, and publicity for many of his earlier films. Seven boxes contain notes, correspondence, scripts, and negotiations for unproduced films. The remainder of the collection consists of clippings, miscellaneous personal and business correspondence, financial records, and promotional and biographical information.
