Abstract:

Record of court actions copied on printed forms during various stages of the probate process. Although contents of the volumes varies, one set, 1878-1928, usually contains oaths of appraisers, inventory and appraised value of the estate, order limiting creditors to present claims, decision on claims by judge, and order of hearing for final settlement. Another set, 1874-1934, usually contains a certificate of probate of will, a copy of the will, petition on presenting will for probate, and bond of executor. There is also one volume, 1879-1905, of petitions of the executor or administrator to sell real estate, report of sale, order of confirmation, and order for sale; and one volume, 1876-1907, of petitions for appointment of guardian to minor, order for appointment of guardian, and bond of guardian.
