Minutes, financial records, bulletins, clippings, and other records from the Superior Chamber of Commerce and its predecessor organizations. Dating primarily 1965-1975, the records include files from the athletic committee, the community development/tourism committee, the Retail Division, the programs Project P.R.O.U.D. and Task Force for Jobs, and numerous other committees. Subject files concern topics such as economic statistics, St. Lawrence Seaway development, environmental action programs, and area development. Predecessors were the Superior Association of Commerce founded in 1894, and the original Superior Chamber of Commerce (also known as the East End Chamber of Commerce), which incorporated in 1883 and relinquished its name and certain records to the Association in 1967.
Portions of this collection are available only on microfilm.
