Abstract:
Central subject file of the Division of Corrections. Records include correspondence; reports; budgetary and program materials; building plans and proposals; annual and monthly reports and activity logs describing trends in institutional programs, planning, and administration; personnel records; files on professional organizations; and legislative material. The core of the records pertain to administrative matters such as the custody and discipline of inmates, the detention and reformation of delinquents, the probation and parole system, and other responsibilities of the division. Special topics addressed affirmative action, community based corrections, foster and group home management, correctional farming and manufacturing programs, inspections of county jails, and research projects in penology.
