Abstract:
Labor and Industry Review Commission files on cases where its unemployment compensation decisions were appealed to the courts. While including many of the same materials, the files differ in some respects from the earlier case files found in Series 2102. Compiled initially by the regional hearing offices these files typically contain more documentation of the preliminary stages of the appeal process (hearing examiners' notes and briefs to the Commission) and less of the court record (court briefs, transcripts of Appeal Tribunal hearings, etc.). Boxes 1-2 contain extensive documentation of unemployment compensation cases growing out of a labor dispute at the Oscar Mayer Company in Madison. No records for 1978 are included.
