Black and white prints, negatives, and color slides documenting water pollution and sanitation work in Wisconsin primarily during the 1920s and 1930s. Illustrated are examples of cannery, meat packing, brewing, and paper industry waste treatment plants; polluted waterways; rivers and beaches; swimming pools; and municipal waterworks and equipment. Also included are views of inspections by various state officials including Adolph Kanneberg of the Water Pollution Committee and water pollution expert Bernard P. Domogalla.
