Abstract:
Posters relating to war and civilian activities in the United States and Europe during World War I. Included are posters issued by the United States Federal Government, foreign governments, and private organizations. Types of posters include recruitment, conservation, fund raising (including Liberty Loan), war work campaigns, charity relief, civil defense, and homeland activities. Many noted artists and illustrators works are included in the collection including numerous American magazine and advertising illustrators.
