Abstract:
Photographs, 1898-circa 1965, made by the L.L. Cook Company of Lake Mills and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The L.L. Cook Company, founded in Milwaukee in 1925 by Lloyd L. Cook, Sigurd H. Arneson, and Carl A. Zimmer, manufactured and distributed greeting cards, and did Kodak finishing, as well as commercial photography and postcard advertising. The collection consists of images mainly of northern Wisconsin resort towns including views of main streets, public buildings, churches, schools, taverns, resorts, and the Wisconsin landscape.
