Abstract:
Papers, primarily 1966-2006, of Dan Bessie, an educational and narrative filmmaker, who also worked in advertising, theater, and television. Bessie is the author of two memoirs, one on his family and the other on his career in the film industry. The collection includes correspondence, scripts and outlines, production materials, book manuscripts and proofs, storyboards and artwork, photographs, film prints, videos, and audio tapes. Many of the projects involve his father, Alvah Bessie, either as collaborator or as subject.
