Records, 1977-1980, of the Kickapoo Valley Association (KVA), established in 1966 to promote recreation and conservation of the Kickapoo Valley and River Watershed. The records of the KVA consist of records created during a two year Comprehensive Employment Training Act (CETA) and Local Employment Assistance (LEAP) Grant projects to clean up the Kickapoo River Watershed. Records include administrative subject files that document project director Tom Hovde's correspondence with the regional and state Manpower Offices, community members, KVA board members and employees, in addition to general project management and final project reports. Also included are financial and personnel files, and a two-volume history of the area with accompanying lesson plans, both products of the History Project.
