Abstract:
Photographs and papers by and about the Enos Lloyd Jones Family of Spring Green, Wisconsin, and other branches of the Lloyd Jones Family. Enos Lloyd Jones was the son of Richard Lloyd Jones (1799-1885) and Mary Thomas (1808-1870) and the uncle of Frank Lloyd Wright. The general family papers include a family tree prepared by Elizabeth Wright Ingraham, miscellaneous letters about the family's emigration from Wales, genealogical information and transcribed family papers collected by Chester Lloyd Jones, and “In Memoriam,” a microfilmed scrapbook of photos, obituaries, and clippings compiled by Jane Lloyd Jones. Papers about individual family members include diary extracts, correspondence and a memorial of Enos Lloyd Jones; published sermons by Jenkin Lloyd Jones; and memorials for Chester, Eleanor, and Ralph Lloyd Jones and for Frank Page and Kenneth Wood. Photographs document members of the Enos Lloyd Jones family, the family farm near Spring Green, the Hillside Home School, and the surrounding rural landscape. The collection consists entirely of copies deposited or made from materials loaned for copying by various family members.
