Research material gathered by August Meier and Elliott Rudwick, two history professors at Kent State University, for their history of the Congress of Racial Equality. From the national CORE offices are photocopies or transcriptions of minutes, proceedings, and reports of meetings of the National Action Council, the steering committee, and CORE's annual convention; financial reports; and copies of revised constitutions. Four reels of microfilm contain records of the Seattle Chapter of CORE, 1961-1969, including extensive files on housing, employment, education, and local conventions and workshops. An additional reel of microfilm contains material from the Bancroft Library consisting of miscellaneous national, California, and other chapter papers and newsletters.
