Abstract:
Papers of Bernhard C. Ziegler, a prominent West Bend, Wisconsin, businessman, manufacturer of aluminum cookware, and civic leader, and of his wife Edna, a local history and cultural arts leader. Included are correspondence, diaries, subject files, and family papers. Bernhard C. Ziegler's correspondence and subject files relate to his affairs as head of the West Bend Aluminum Company, B.C. Ziegler and Company, and the First National Bank of West Bend. Edna Ziegler's diaries, correspondence, and papers relate to her activities in the Washington County Historical Society, cultural arts programs, the Wisconsin Arts Foundation and Council, and the Ziegler Foundation. The collection also contains personal correspondence, biographical material, and genealogical material on the Eickelberg, Fick, and Ziegler families.
