Chronological correspondence, 1896-1900, of the officers of the Dane County Telephone Company, a successful independent telephone company formed in 1895 by Philip L. Spooner, B. B. Clarke, and Samuel A. Harper; concerning company operations, opposition to the Wisconsin Telephone Company, and organization of a state association of independent telephone companies. The photograph shows company female telephone operators at work, Oct. 8, 1908.
