Papers of Thomas Dean, the Indian agent at Brotherton, New York, including an account book and diary with a description of a survey expedition on the Fox River, 1824, and of journeys to Green Bay in 1830, to Washington, D.C. in 1831, and along the Lake Huron coastline starting on the Saint Clair River in 1834; deeds for Indian lands; copies of petitions to President Andrew Jackson, 1830, and to Enos Throop, governor of New York, 1831; and a number of letters from other Indian agents and federal officials for Indian affairs.
