Abstract:
Papers and photographs of Sage Oh'hne (formerly Karen Christine Voltz), of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, consisting of her writings, including her autobiographical manuscript, “Circles of Perfection,” high school yearbooks from the St. Mary’s Academy in Milwaukee, and numerous photographs. The photographs principally document SisterMoon, the feminist bookstore she operated in Milwaukee in the 1970s-1980s, and Ishpiming Retreat Center, a spiritual retreat in Manitowish Waters, Wisconsin, that she opened in 1991. The papers and photographs also document various women’s rights groups and activities, women’s support groups, and women in the arts. Also included are 4 videorecordings containing interviews with Sage and promotions for the Ishpiming Retreat Center.
