Abstract:
Tape-recorded interview conducted for the Wisconsin Jewish Archives with Manitowoc, Wisconsin businessman Iman Sigman, concerning his youth in Russia, his family and its 1907 immigration to Two Rivers, Wisconsin, his schooling and employment, the Jewish community in Manitowoc, Zionism, reactions to the events of World War II, and work with the Manitowoc Coordinating Committee resettling refugees. Recorded by State Historical Society of Wisconsin staff member Peter Gordy.
