Photographs, negatives and slides were usually taken by
the staff at Photographic Services or outside professional photographers. A smaller
number of the photographs were taken by the staff of the Echo
Weekly (1919-1951), Wisconsin State Times
(1951-1956), and the UWM Post (1956-present). The
images, mostly in black and white, document the administration, student activities,
athletic competition, buildings, and activities of the Milwaukee Downer College, the
Milwaukee Normal School, the Wisconsin State Teacher's College, and the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
