An Akha refugee mother and her child living in the Akha village of Sabloi, (LS-359, PD 8952) in Houa Khong Province. They fled from Burma and are being assisted by the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society. Both the mother and daughter wear a large flower designed plate on their breasts made from aluminum, not silver. The daughter's cap is also decorated with aluminum trinkets.
