An Akha mother carries her child holding a rattle made from a gourd on her back in the Akha village of Sobloi ( LS-359, PD 8952) in Houa Khong Province. She wears a customary headdress elaborately decorated with silver bands, silver coins, silver trinkets, tassels of yarn and silver and strands of white glass beads.
