Five or six kapok trees are seen growing in the Nyaheun village of Ta Yeuk Seua (XB 6967) in Attapu Province. The kapok tree bears a silk-cotton-like fiber that is used to provide insulation for mostly pillows and mattresses used by villagers. Sometimes a blanket is stuffed with kapok for heavier insulation and used during the colder months of the year. If there is a surplus supply of kapok, it is sold in other villages.
