Summary
Nong Mek (XB 66677, L-167) villagers greet the Governor of Attapu, (fourth from the right), the Primary School Inspector of Attapu (third from the right), and Richard Constantino, USAID Eduation Advisor from Pakxe (first on the right) in front of the new elementary school being dedicated. Second from the right is Mr. Moun, a Laven, the leader of the Kong Xe Namnoi District. The foreigner in the queue to the left is Nev Peterson, a missionary from New Zealand, resident in Nong Mek. The two-room school was completed in 1968.
