A program aimed to demonstrate the University of Wisconsin's contributions to the state and agriculture. Included in the program are discussions of state and university history, dramatized docudramas and musical performances. Harold McCarty plays guide on this tour of the University. Topics covered include Van Hise's vision of the Wisconsin Idea, Nobel Clark, Assistant Director of the Wisconsin Experiment Station, speaks on the Babcock butterfat test and other significant discoveries and experiments, the founding of the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, and E.B. Hart's work on the importance of copper and iron in the diet. Includes dramatizations of Steenbock's discovery of increasing vitamin D in foods by irradiation and L.R. Jones's work on addressing the yellowing of cabbage and further discussion of the university's work on plant breeding to resist disease. Musical performances by the University Mens Chorus singing "Songs to thee, Wisconsin" under the direction of Paul Jones and by student string ensembles.
