An older Blue Hmong (Hmong Njua woman stands next to a younger White Hmong woman in a Hmong village in the vicinity of Muang Vang Vieng in Vientiane Province. The younger one carries a radio strapped over one shoulder. The contrast between the two Hmong groups' dress here is striking. The younger woman wears traditional White Hmong pants, and a neck ring of four silver bands. The older woman wears a traditional Blue Hmong pleated skirt and tubular head wrap.
