An Akha woman is seated on the porch of her house in the village of Phate (PC 4793) in Houa Khong Province. She is wearing a traditional woman's headdress decorated with extensive bands of silver and strings of beads. She also has a large, silver, flower-shaped decoration on the front of her blouse. She is sitting on a bamboo and rattan stool, typically used in the villages.
