Cincinnati and New York: The Strobridge Lithographic Company
Summary
Two scenes of the famous Austro-Hungarian troupe are shown top and bottom. At the top, one performer on a violin accompanies several female dancers. Below, performers dressed as cowboys on horses perform rope tricks. Across the middle in large letters is "Singer's Midgets"
This generic poster features one of the best-known vaudeville/circus companies of the time, members of the Pantages circuit since at least 1910. Many Singer's Midgets appeared in several shorts ("Wee Men," 1935) before going on to fame as the Munchkins in "The Wizard of Oz."
