The Governor and other provincial officials visited Houei Kong (L-56, XB 6473) in Attapu Province to celebrate the district being elevated to a new administrative status, from Kong Xe Namnoi to Muang Sayasila. Here, the village headmen (phoban) from the Nyaheun and Laven villages that make up Muang Sayasila are waiting to receive the Governor who is inside participating in a string tying ceremony (known as a "baci" in the Lao language) given by the local people.
