As the Ben Franklin, she towed coal from Moundsville to Parkersburg. In July, 1925 she was cut down pool style at the Morgan-David Dock Company, Glenwood, Pennsylvania. Cause of final fire was a signal lantern. A.O. Kirschner had been killed by a burglar whom he had surprised in his home on October 25, 1935, just six weeks before the Ben Franklin burned
