A White Hmong girl poses on a hillside in the White Hmong village of Nam Phet (PC 5752) in Houa Khong Province dressed in her finest clothing for the Hmong New Year celebrations. Her head wrap is decorated with many colored pompoms. She wears a waistband that is highly decorated with small French colonial coins, as is her small purse. Her silver neck ring contains five rings of solid silver. Behind her are bamboo conduits which transport water from a source in the hills into the village.
