1982 photo of the Russell Oas house at 378 Glen Street. This house was moved from one side of town to the other across the Rock River in the 1920s. Because the bridges were too narrow to accommodate the house, it was moved on a homemade boat, 15 feet wide, 45 feet long, and 4 feet deep with a one-cylinder Evinrude Motor. When Mr. Oas told the Evinrude Motor Company about this feat, they featured the story in a full-page spread in their "Outboard Motors" magazine.
