Program describes events during the Diez y Seis de Septiembre (Mexican Independence Day) celebration from September 13 through September 15, 1990.
The celebration included the movie Requiem 29, a poetry recital by Carlos Reyes entitled "Why Am I So Brown?", a lecture by Prof. Ricardo Romo about "Jim Crow, Segregation, and the Latino Community, a pictorial essay called "Seeds of Sorrow, Harvest of Hope" about migrant farmworkers in Wisconsin, and traditional Mexican music and dancing.
