OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - 0850; Built at Newport News, Virginia in 1896; originally Mexican registry and named Tlacotalpam. She was sold to Mobile, Alabama, and renamed Margaret; there she rammed a dock and killed some 50 persons. Harry Means brought her to Louisville, Kentucky in 1914 and ran excursions with her. She got the name Carmania at Louisville, operated there by Louisville & Jeffersonville Ferry Company. She was an ocean vessel, quite a novelty on the Ohio River. She was sold in fall 1914 to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania parties. She was registered at Philadelphia in 1918, and at New York in 1923. She foundered at Fall River March 12, 1924
