This Afro-Brazilian figure may have been offered by Sr. Jaoa Bezerra da Menezes on June 15, 1896. It is from the collection of the Mus. Nat. Historico in Rio de Janeiro. The two diminutive oshe (ose) suggest that figure is for Shango (Xango), god of thunder.
