Handwritten on back of print, "Dr. Martin Luther King spoke at the University of Wisconsin Nov. 23. Two UW students, Paul Mennes (left) and John Ebbot, arranged for Dr. King's visit and are shown here chatting with him." King addressed a full house at the UW Stock Pavilion in Madison on November 23, 1965. King’s appearance was sponsored by what was then known as the Wisconsin Union Forum Committee. It was the forerunner of the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Contemporary Issues Committee.
