COLOPHON: "Doubly Bound began with our desire to write a book about choices, and the paths of women's lives. This thinking was responsible for bringing Buster's Mother to life from her house on a turn-of-the-century playing card which identifies her only as 'Buster's Mother.' Through her and this project we address the complexity of our choices and expectations, the resultant anxieties, and the essential necessity of aesthetic expression in clarifying solutions. Baskerville and various display faces are printed on Mohawk, Magnani Pescia, and Lana Ingres. The gouache paintings are one-of-a-kind. All work was done collaboratively. Special thanks to the Nuala McGann Drescher Affirmative Action Leave Program and the State University of New York, Plattsburgh for their support. Thanks also to the Silver Buckle Press, Madison, Wisconsin. Doubly Bound is printed in an edition of seventy. This book is dedicated to Marylln Fine and Barbara Honn." Signed by the artists.
