Aline Hazard reports from a visit to the Monroe Trailer Park at the University of Wisconsin. The Trailer Camps were built for students returning from the war front and in response to the housing shortage following the war. The Monroe Park had 99 trailers while the Randall Park had 90. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jeffers, Trailer #124, Second Avenue, Monroe Park are tour guides on this tour. The visit covers tours of different types of trailer homes and discusses various aspects of the Trailer Park Camps including the governments, the avenues, recreational courts, and lawns, how veterans apply to live at the camps, how residents manage with no running water, and the utility and recreation trailers.
