An Affirmative Action Program at Stout was established in early 1972 in response to UW System request to develop such programs in compliance with federal law. Jane Rosenthal was appointed as the first Affirmative Action Director in September of 1972. The position reported to the Chancellor until 1983 when supervision was moved to the Vice Chancellor. In 1987 supervision was moved back to the Chancellor's domain.
