Advanced Energy Manufacturing in Wisconsin
Abstract
Two advanced sources of clean energy that are being deployed around the world are solar power and wind power. In both cases, the source of power, the sun, and the wind, are renewable and available worldwide. In the United States, renewable sources accounted for about 20 percent of electricity generation in 2018, with Wisconsin’s renewables share making up about 10 percent of the state generation. Both solar and wind industries are relatively young, so development is happening continuously to increase efficiency and lower the costs of production.
