Abstract:
Papers and photographs of Col. Leo M. Jackson, a Regular Army and Wisconsin National Guard officer, who served with the 32nd Infantry, 119th Machine Gun Battalion in World War I. The collection includes personnel records, background information on the 119th Machine Gun Battalion, orders and memoranda from the American Expeditionary Force, including extensive field orders from October 1918 military operations, intelligence reports, and battalion rosters. After the war Jackson also served as an officer in the 128th Infantry of the Wisconsin National Guard, which is documented by training materials and inspection reports.
