Abstract:
Papers relating to the movement originated by Julia Grace Wales known as the "Wisconsin Plan for Continuous Mediation without Armistice." There are drafts of the plan and correspondence with leaders of the peace movement including Louis P. Lochner and Jane Addams, and an interview with President Woodrow Wilson by David Starr Jordan and Lochner. Several letters written by Wales from the Netherlands and Scandinavian countries in 1915-1916 reflect conditions in neutral countries during the war.
