Abstract:

Proceedings, which include agendas, minutes, and assorted supporting materials from meetings of the state 'job councils' empowered under state and federal legislation to review, plan and coordinate programs under the federal Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA) of 1982. Meeting materials for the councils span from 1981-1999; also included from 1975-1982 are a few materials from pre-JTPA versions of these councils. The councils are: the State Employment and Training Council (1981-1982); the State Job Training Coordinating Council (1983-1987); the Wisconsin Jobs Council (1987-1994); the Human Resource Investment Council (1994-1997); and the Council on Workforce Excellence (1997-1999).
