Abstract:
Files documenting development and modification of the department's guidelines for assessing research projects' impact on the environment. The Wisconsin Environmental Policy Act enacted in 1971 required major research projects to file environmental impact statements to be used by the department to decide whether a project would be allowed to proceed. Files include correspondence, minutes, reports, and hearings.
