Abstract:
Records documenting development projects of the division and by its various predecessor agencies within the Department of Resource Development and the Division of Economic Development within that department in the Executive Department and in the Department of Local Affairs and Development. Included are correspondence, memoranda, reports, and working papers of various industrial development specialists, as well as David Carley and other agency administrators. The files contain minutes and reports of the Advisory Committee on State Resources Planning, correspondence and designs for a special state supplement in the New York Times and other advertising projects, and information on Amtrak, the development and encouragement of invention, Wisconsin's allegation of unfair freight rates in Ex parte 270, and planning files on the Wisconsin Industrial Production Agency. Files on the opening of a Kikkoman plant in Wisconsin include taped remarks of department administrator William Kidd in 1972.
