Abstract:
Case files containing transcripts of public hearings conducted by the department when violations of air pollution laws were contested by companies; correspondence with the companies; and reports regarding emission tests and air particulates. Companies who requested public hearings include Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Oscar Mayer, Mosinee Paper Corporation, Thilmany Pulp and Paper Company, and Wisconsin Power and Light. Files provide information about the department's process to control air pollution, companies' attempts at pollution abatement, and local residents' attitudes. Also included are transcripts of administrative rules hearings.
