Abstract:

Airport records, mainly 1940-1982, showing location, layout, and physical characteristics of Wisconsin airports. The records include descriptions of runways, hangars, aircraft, resident airlines, news clippings, emergency equipment, navigation aids, and obstructions, data on airport operations (including creation and expansion), environmental impact reports, and maps and diagrams of facilities. In addition there is extensive correspondence between the bureau, the FAA and local airport and governmental official, businessmen, and local residents.
